I'll use today's take as a call back to Friday's episode of the

podcast.

Hopefully you heard and if you haven't, go listen to our conversation with longtime

Steeler Scout Mark Gorsick, moving on after nearly 30 years with the team. It's a great conversation and Gorsick was incredibly

insightful. Those area scouts do not get the credit and that's just part of the job.

GM Omar Khan gets the credit right now when things look good and he'll get the

blame if that ever stops. But Area Scouts, they are the worker bees of the scouting process.

They're putting in the grunt work with early flights, late nights, and service the

bedrock for how the team scouts prospects across the country. No, they aren't the decision-makers.

Their job is easy in the sense they don't have to be the guy that

makes that call and live with the outcome but it is a thankless job that should

be appreciated. After listening to that conversation with Corsick, I think a lot of fans realize the work that goes in and will appreciate it all the more.

Corsick's one of the best Pittsburgh's had.
