I'm Josh Carney. The long snapper position isn't a glamorous one in the NFL by any means.

Often it's an unheralded one, rarely talked about,

While the Pittsburgh Steelers didn't have any true issues per se at the long snapper position last season with Christian Kuntz, there were some dicey

Those developments should certainly put Kuntz on notice entering the heart of the summer. Even after signing him to a

one-year contract in February and seemingly being set at the position due to Kuntz's

experience and familiarity, the moves to turn over every stone at the position

by GM Omar Khan follows his off-season mantra of looking at competition wherever they can. Now that doesn't mean Kuntz is going to be out of a job
