Usually when a new GM takes over a franchise in the NFL, that person looks to make a splash in his first NFL draft,

landing a foundational piece or two for the franchise.

Pittsburgh Steelers GMO, Mark Khan, took that a step or two further through two days of the 2023 NFL draft,

putting together a foundational draft class,

so far at least.

One day after landing a potential linchpin left tackle

in Broderick Jones in the first round.

Khan and the Steelers had an outstanding day on Friday on day two.

Landing cornerback Joey Porter Jr. defensive tackle Keanu Benton, and Titeen Darnell Washington.

Of those four selections, all four were inside highly respected NFL network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah's top 40 prospects in the

2023 draft class.

As a whole, Pittsburgh got those four players at number 14 overall 32 49 and 93.

Again all four were inside Jeremiah's top 40.

That's quite a hall for the Steelers.
