Welcome to the terrible take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our minds.

I'm Alexa Delaraco. By this time next week we'll know the results of the first three rounds of the NFL draft.

With the trade of Alan Robinson to the Pittsburgh Steelers, I do not expect them to take a

receiver now on the first two days of the NFL draft, if at all. I still think the Steelers

could use an upgrade over Anthony Miller or Gunner O'Shefsky in the slot. I believe if the Steelers were to target a receiver on day three of the

NFL draft it would be specifically for the slot position. Remember it's highly unlikely the Steelers will retain Alan Robinson past 2023.

I think the name we all need to watch for on day three of the NFL draft is none other than Penn State wide receiver

Parker Washington.

At 510 204 pounds, Parker Washington is built for the slot.

He's most comparable to a player like Julian Edelman.

Washington ran a 449 40-yard dash and possesses rare yards after the catch ability.

In 2022, Parker Washington had the second highest contested catch win rate.

He lined up in the slot 71% of the time.

And at 204 pounds, Washington has the ability to also become a good blocking slot receiver in the

NFL. Parker Washington also played up to his competition. With strong, reliable hands, his two biggest career days came against the Ohio State Buckeyes, putting up over 100 yards in both contests in 2021 and 2022.

This past season, Washington posted 11 receptions

for 179 yards and a touchdown versus the Ohio State's elite

secondary. I believe Washington goes on day three of the NFL draft in the sixth

or seventh round range.

If the Steelers want to upgrade that receiver room for 2023 and beyond at a low cost,

look no further than Penn State's wide receiver, Parker Washington.
