I'm Melanie Freelander. While most of you might have

been distracted by March Madness, Steelers GM Omar Khan is still getting

business done several days after the opening of free agency. Last night, news broke that the team was signing Eagles offensive linemen Isaac

Isaac Samalo, a former third round draft pick in 2016.

The seventh year player brings versatility, which the Steelers love in their linemen.

In college he started 37 games for the Oregon State Beavers with 23 at center, 9 at right

guard, 3 at left tackle, and 2 at right tackle. Ironically Ironically it was at left guard where he had the least

experience that he became the starter in Philadelphia in 2018. He held that job until 2021 when he missed most of the season due to injury.

After returning for this past season, Landon Dickerson had replaced him.

Siamalo just moved over to Right Guard and helped his team make it to the Super Bowl.

So what did this mean for the Steelers offensive line heading into the

20-23 season? It's too soon to say exactly what the starting line will be on

week one. It's likely that Sayamalu will move back to left guard replacing Kevin Dotson.
