Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan spoke to the media Tuesday during this year's NFL combine, really the first time the

spotlight's been on him since being named GM last summer. He covered a variety of

topics, some in more detail than others. It doesn't seem like he's as enthused to give a line-by-line overview

of the draft class the way Kevin Corbett was. That's a bummer.

One thing Kahn did discuss is the hierarchy and setup of the front office, a room that has new and moving pieces for essentially the first time in 20 years.

Khan explained Andy Weidlle will set the draft board while the actual decision for a pick will come

from the trio of Art Rooney, Mike Tomlin, and Kahn, meaning Wydel, despite his assistant GM title,

won't actually be involved in making the Steelers pick.

He sets the board and that influences the pick, but it's a little surprising Widal is not going

to be in the room to help make that final call.

Essentially, his role seems to be the same as it was in Philadelphia, and you got to wonder if he's

loving that.

His title was upgraded, he's now Assistant GM, but it seems his influence and power is the same.
