Welcome to The Terrible Take, a daily segment telling Steeler Nation what's on our minds.

I'm Melanie Friedlander. The Steelers' 2026 draft class is now in the books. As always,

0:11.6

there are mixed reactions from fans and media alike. Draft grades are rolling out, but we won't

0:16.3

really know if these players were the right choices for a couple of seasons in many cases.

0:21.1

Wide receivers like Jeremy Bernard, or even Caden Weegean, who will likely serve as kick

0:25.3

and punt returner, can prove their value as rookies. When it comes to players that man the

1:12.5

And then there is one of the third round picks, Jennings Dunker. He also played right tackle in

1:16.9

college. Following his selection, New Steelers' offensive line coach James Campin said they plan

1:22.0

to move him to guard. Moving a player from a position where he has experience isn't necessarily

1:27.4

the wrong call.

1:29.0

Look at Alejandro Villanueva, who came into the NFL as a tight end and was tried as a defensive lineman by the Eagles, both positions he played in college.

1:37.3

The Steelers moved him to left tackle based on Mike Tomlin's recommendation, and he excelled at that position for years.

1:43.1

But it doesn't always work out that well.
