things are starting to become much clearer for the Pittsburgh Steelers when it comes to what

direction they're likely to go in in the first round next Thursday of the 2026 NFL draft.

Of those 30 visits and two other pre-draft connections, the Steelers list of potential first-round

picks at number 21

overall sits at roughly eight players, just based on dot connecting. Those players, in my opinion,

Penn State's Vega-Yawane, Utah's Spencer Fano, USC's Mackay Lemon, Washington's Denzel Boston,

San Diego State's Chris Johnson, Toledo's Emmanuel McNeill Warren, Arizona's

Trayden Stoaks, Arizona's Jordan Tyson, and Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. Of those eight names,

all but Tyson and Cooper came into Pittsburgh for pre-draft visits. But Tyson's connection with

former Steelers' wide receiver Heinz Ward, and Cooper having

played for new wide receivers coach Adam Henry for one season at Indiana, allows some dots to be

connected. Once next Thursday rolls around, chances are the Steelers' first round pick that is

announced in the Steel City in front of thousands on the North Shore should be among those

eight names mentioned.

Anything else would be rather surprising.
