terrible take, where I asked who the final 14 Steelers pre-draft visitors would be and hoped and

expected to see some headline names be part of that group. Pittsburgh did not disappoint.

On Thursday, the team hosted likely first rounders in

USC wide receiver Mackay Lemon and Toledo Safety, Emmanuel McNeil Warren. Those are the types

and names I've been waiting for. Finally, we can start building out a list of potential and likely

first round candidates. In Omar Khan's three years drafting,

all three first rounders came in for pre-draft visits. Broderick Jones, Troy Faw Tanoo, and

Derek Harmon, with the Steelers' decision makers opting against going to Fautonu's and

Harmon's pro days. With Mike McCarthy and Khan only attending Georgia this year, odds are high the Steelers' first-round pick in 2026 will come from somewhere the team did not visit.

And for what it's worth, Jones, Fautano, and Harmon all visited after April 1st as late entrance to the pre-draft list.

It heightens the importance of these visits even more. Yes, Pittsburgh may and

probably held Zoom meetings with prospects, but nothing beats a face-to-face. And it's logical,

though not guaranteed under a new head coach, Pittsburgh will want face time with whoever

becomes their first round selection. Now I'm recording this before Friday's visits are announced,

so this list could expand even more.
