Less than two weeks into the official start of free agency, the dust is settling, and the moves that the NFL teams are making has slowed down significantly.

The Steelers have lost some valuable players that many fans had hoped the team might bring back, including Kenneth Gainwell, James Pierre, and Isaac Siamalo. There were already holes in the roster that needed to be filled, and that just added to the list of needs. While the Steelers may not have made any splashy trades or big-ticket signings, I like what they have done so far to bolster the roster via trade and free agency. They re-signed some good players that provide reliable depth

Most importantly, they have addressed multiple areas of need. That doesn't mean they won't draft a wide receiver now that Michael Pittman Jr. has joined the team. But adding a player like Pittman relieves the team of making a move on draft day that doesn't work for their overall plan. Of course, the Steelers will draft a wide receiver next month. And maybe it will be on the first round. But now it doesn't have to be on day one if the value isn't there when the Steelers are on the clock.
