The Pittsburgh Steelers have been rather aggressive from a trade

perspective under the guidance of GM Omar Khan compared to how the franchise has typically operated

in the past. Whether that's trading for established NFL players or maneuvering up and down the

board during NFL drafts, Khan has been busy trying to fix things on the Steelers roster.

That has to continue this year in the NFL draft.

The Steelers are projected to have 12 picks in late April's draft, which will be in Pittsburgh.

Those 12 picks offer the Steelers a chance to be aggressive and calculated under Kahn.

While quarterback remains the biggest need for the franchise, both in 2026 and long term, other positions such as wide receiver and cornerback seem the easiest to address via a trade-up,

at least this year. The cornerback position appears just slightly top-heavy, so if the

Steelers want to address it with a top talent, they'll have to be aggressive and move up.

They seem to be doing their due diligence on the position too, meeting formally at the combine with a number of the top players to position.
