If not quarterback, is wide receiver the slam dunk first round position for the Pittsburgh Steelers?

It makes sense, even if it would break history of Pittsburgh not drafting the position in the first

round since Antonio Holmes in 2006,

the NFL's longest active drought. But is it a lock? What about the guys who cover receivers,

the secondary? Cornerback opposite Joey Porter Jr. remains murky with James Pierre, a pending

free agent, and a new coaching staff

in the fold. Even safety is worth mentioning with Jalen Ramsey's status unclear, the team having

zero long-term prospects behind, and it's one of the best safety classes in quite some time.

So how about Clemson quarterback Avion Terrell, the first round pick in my

Tuesday mock draft, or Toledo's Emmanuel McNeil Warren, who if taken at number 21 by Pittsburgh,

would be the rocket's highest pick since Stan Williams in 1993 and second earliest ever?

Keep an open mind, that's really the point here,

at least until the free agency dust settles

and there's a good feel of the roster.
