for the Steelers to address what's on our mind. I'm Ross McCorkel. This isn't going to be a popular idea, but I think it is time

once and for all for the Steelers to address the punter position. No half measures. It's time to take a full

measure. They did try to do that a couple years ago when they signed Cam Johnston, who Mike Tomlin

called the bell of the ball in In terms of free agent punters,

unfortunately he tore his knee, and the Steelers ended up choosing Corliss Waitman over him a year later.

Now, Waitman's high-level play is serviceable. However, too inconsistent. And that inconsistence

he always seems to pop up at the worst of times. Yeah, he may be at the

top of the Steelers franchise history in terms of certain punting metrics, but that is in extremely

low bar. The Steelers have had atrocious punting basically forever. And they did try to address it

in the draft a handful of years ago, and they took Presley Harvin.

That obviously did not work out, but that should not dissuade the Steelers from taking another stab at it in the draft.

The Steelers have 12 draft picks.

Not all 12 of those are going to make the roster.

It's almost impossible for that to happen.
