Things are moving very quickly for the Pittsburgh Steelers under new head coach Mike McCarthy

as his coaching staff continues to take shape.

We won't truly see the impact of the new coaching staff until training camp.

But right now, it's hard to not be thrilled with a pair of hirings that McCarthy has made.

After stating that the trenches are the most important part of his offense, McCarthy went out and made sure the offensive line has a chance to be at its best in 2026, thanks to the hirings of James Campin and Jari Evans.

Though the Steelers' offensive line played well under Pat Meyer last season,

Pittsburgh needed an upgrade.

In Steps, Campin, and Evans.

During his tenure in the NFL as an offensive line coach,

Campin has had a good amount of success everywhere he's been,

from Green Bay to Los Angeles to Carolina.

He has developed plenty of good young talent,

vast experience to Pittsburgh. Evans takes the offensive line staff over the top, though, at least for

me. Once a dominant guard in the NFL in a pro football hall of fame finalist, Evans brings a great

deal of experience on the field to the table and was a solid coach in New

Orleans after his playing career too. The Steelers have invested a great deal into the

offensive line in recent years with high draft picks. Guys like Zach Frazier, Mason McCormick,

Troy Fautanoo and Broderick Jones have all shown flashes for the Steelers. Even reserves,

Spencer Anderson and Dylan Cook have developed nicely.
