Regardless of what happens from here on out, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a big decision to make when it comes to their 2026 quarterback.

Currently as it stands, the reporting is that Aaron Rogers may or may not want to come back, but the Steelers

have their sights set on the 2026 NFL draft. Even when they drafted Kenny Pickett in the

first round in 2022, they supplemented him with a veteran in Mitch Trubisky, and Trubisky ended up

starting the beginning of that season.

The Steelers aren't the type of team that's going to go all in on a rookie quarterback right

away. Even Ben Rathesberger had to wait a couple games for his opportunity.

At this point, if Rogers is open to it, then the Steelers should absolutely bring him back

for another season.

He can be the bridge quarterback while they develop, either the guy they draft, Will Howard, or both.

Just look at the impact he's had on the offense.

And I'm not specifically talking about statistics, but just look at how the offense has responded to him as a leader.

Think about the 2023, 2024 seasons where leadership seemed to be at a deficit on offense.

That is not the case this year.

Aaron Rogers, according to the broadcast on Sunday night football, spends four nights a week after practice.

That's extra time that doesn't need to happen.

Four nights a week with his teammates going over hand signals and film.

And just simply bonding as a team.

Those things matter.

Think about all of the successful Steelers teams over the years.
