Earlier this summer, I wondered if Kenneth Gainwell would become the rare Steelers runner to have more receptions than rushes.

I figured he'd be involved in the passing game, but he's exceeded all expectations, maybe even the teams, of just how active he's been.

But his game has grown beyond just catching Aaron Rogers' throws. He's become a defined and valuable runner. A slow start has turned Gainwell into becoming an asset in

any regard, running, catching, blocking, covering kicks, or returning them. There's value beyond

the tape, too. Gainwell is durable. He doesn't miss practice, let

alone games, and despite being undersized and taking some hard shots, he gets up each time. In five

NFL seasons, Gainwell has missed just two total games. That is real value for coaching staff.

True to Aaron Rogers' goal, Gainwell has made himself a lot of money.

The question is, how much?
