The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled to stop the run consistently as a team,

and that's made some of the high-priced veterans up front defensively targets of criticism week after week.

One of those players happens to be team captain Cameron Hayward.

So far this season, after going through a contract dispute with the franchise throughout the offseason and training camp, causing him to conduct a hold-in,

Hayward hasn't been his dominant self, at least from a counting stats perspective.

That's led to some people questioning his abilities in recent weeks.

That includes the Post-Gazette's Ray Fittipado,

who stated last week that Hayward simply isn't the same player he once was.

You can be sure Hayward heard that, and then he answered in a big way against the Ravens.

Hayward was outstanding in week 14, generating six pressures while also playing a key role
