The definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and expecting a different result.

But the Buffalo Bills didn't view things that way Sunday night against the Steelers.

Instead, they ran the same play a whopping 26 times in the win, expecting the same result,

which was to gash the Steelers' defense on the ground.

It worked to perfection as the Steelers allowed Buffalo to set a stadium record for rushing yards from an opponent in the loss.

The bills ran for 249 yards, controlled the game on the ground, and really bullied the Steelers.

It had star pass rusher T.J. Watt dejected after the game, stating he'd never seen another team do something like that over and over and have that type of success.

Head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday credited the bills for the execution on the

play. While Buffalo does deserve some credit, the inability of the Steelers to slow down

Buffalo's rushing attack, despite it being the same play just in a different personnel grouping,

is concerning and shows, at least to me, that it's a soft team and one that has personnel issues

of its own. The Steelers tried to throw everything they could at the Bill's run game. They

experimented with different formations, personnel packages, and alignments. Nothing worked. With it

being the same play, the Steelers trying different things as much as possible,

that tells me they weren't out-schemed. Instead, they were outplayed. They were bullied. Again.

The Steelers made it a point of emphasis to add big physical players this offseason,

not having rookie Derek Harmon for the matchup hurt, but that's no excuse.

They just don't have the guys to really knuckle up and stop the run like they once had in the past.
