I know this is not Jets Depot, but I can't help but gawk at the car crash that's going on in East Rutherford and compare it to how the Steelers run their business.

Not solely from Jets owner Woody Johnson's comments basically roasting Justin Fields and his inability to complete a pass,

but from what Fields said after the fact, speaking to reporters Wednesday,

Fields said he virtually has no relationship with Johnson and did not even meet him until sometime during the regular season,

which means Field signed in March and never met the owner of the team who paid him $40 million

for months, months. Aaron Rogers met Art Rooney the 2nd in March, months before signing with Pittsburgh,

and we've seen plenty of videos of draft picks and high-prised free agents meeting Rooney

and the rest of the Steelers bigwigs upon first arriving in Pittsburgh.

It's a low bar to claim better than the Jets,

but it really highlights how dysfunctional some teams and organizations

are. The Titans, the Jets, the Cowboys, how many own goals they score unable to get out of their

own way. It feels like just not being completely incompetent is half the battle to some level of franchise success.

And it's easy to see why teams like the Jets stay bad

and why teams like the Steelers always seem to persevere.

And why Fields found traction in Pittsburgh, but regression in New York.
