More than halfway through the Steelers training camp practices, we have learned a little more about the overall 2025 roster,

some good and some not so great.

Obviously, it is all still a work in progress

as the players get used to new or updated playbooks and new teammates.

Next Saturday, the team will head south to Jacksonville

to take on the Jaguars in their first preseason action.

That should tell us a lot about their progress.

In the meantime, there is one thing that is different from prior years.

So far, we have not seen any players stand out as the proverbial Camp Darling.

That isn't to say that none of the players have impressed.

To the contrary, third-year tight-end Darnell Washington continues to perform, stacking good reps and showing improvement from last year.

D.K. Medcalf has caught a few touchdowns, including a nice one-handed grab. And both Darius Slay

and Jalen Ramsey have made life difficult for the offense, breaking up passes. But all of that
