I'm Joe Clark. I'm a huge fan of Pittsburgh

Steelers rookie running by Caleb Johnson. I think Johnson has a lot of potential, and I think he's going

to be good for the Steelers, not only early in his career, but throughout his career with the team.

But I do think a lot of the hype for Johnson has overshadowed Jalen Warren a little bit.

Warren's still expected to be the team starting running back to begin the year, and I'm not sure

it's a job that he's going to easily relinquish at any point this season. In his rookie season,

Jalen Warren averaged 4.9 yards per carry on 77 attempts.

And he followed that up with an even more impressive sophomore campaign, running 149 times for 784 yards and four touchdowns, which was good for 5.3 yards per carry, adding 61 receptions for 3010 yards.

Working as the third downback, Tanaji harris warren was a consistent threat

and on the pieces that made pittsburgh's offense tick any year where their offense wasn't very good

dealing with injuries including a hamstring injury early in the season and a knee injury last year

warren's production took a bit of a hit with a career low 4.3 yards per carry.

But if he's healthy, Warren is a player who I think could really kind of surprise, I guess, is the right word again this year.
