It's a big year for Steelers' corner what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kizora. It's a big year for Steelers

cornerback, Corey Trice Jr. Much of the offseason attention has been placed elsewhere on

Joey Porter Jr. to firmly take hold of the team's number one corner duties, on Darius Slay,

the latest savvy vet brought in, and on Beanie Bishop Jr. in his second season in the slot.

But Trice is entering a sort of make-or-break-type year.

Talent is not his issue. The guy can play. Health, that's the concern.

It's why he fell to the seventh round in 2023.

It's why he missed his rookie year after tearing his ACL in

practice and why he was limited to six games in 2024, thanks to a early season hamstring injury.

Can the team trust him? That's always the question he's unfortunately never been able to answer.

If Trice can stay healthy and play well,

Pittsburgh could make him a starting corner in 2026 opposite Porter. Slay on his one-year deal is more likely to retire than re-up. But if Trice can't earn that trust, Pittsburgh will

find someone else and keep Trice in a smaller and less weighty role. To begin this season,

Trice should be working as the team's dime package defender,
