Tuesday kickstarted voluntary offseason workouts for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the south side,

and yet there were few notable absences.

There's an emphasis on voluntary, but T.J. Watt, D.K. Metcalf, and Darius Slay were notably absent.

It's understandable that a guy like Watt isn't there,

considering he's in line for a new contract extension and negotiations might not be going well,

though news hasn't come out in a while regarding the stellar outside linebacker.

He also has a two-month-old child at home, and it's a tough time for any new parent,

so it's understandable he's not an OTAs. He knows the

defense, the calls, the verbiage, and the faces. He's fine. As for Metcalf and Slay, it's pretty
