The path to a roster spot as an undrafted free agent can be long and daunting.

It is doable, though.

This year, the Steelers has some very intriguing names to watch that are undrafted free agents.

And one of them has had my eyes since the day he

signed with the Steelers at the conclusion in the 2025 NFL draft. It's not a name you would

think of either. That would be Indiana wide receiver Keishon Williams. Prior to the George

Pickens trade, I didn't think he had much of a chance to make the 53-man roster and was ticketed

for a shot at the practice squad at best. But now, the Steelers have a hole at receiver, and with his

special team's abilities in the return game, along with his route running and motor that

runs consistently hot, there's a sliver of a chance for Williams. Sometimes, all UDFA's need is a sliver of a chance.

Williams is going to have to make plays in OTA's mini-camp and training camp,

and he's going to need to produce in the preseason to really garner attention.

But I was very intrigued by his tape overall coming out of Wake Forest and Indiana.

He's behind a number

of established names, like Calvin Austin III, Ben Skoronik, Scotty Miller, and even new or

returning faces in D.K. Metcath, Robert Woods and Roman Wilson. But the most important thing is,

he has a chance in front of him. I can't wait to see what he does with the opportunity.

Just keep an eye on that name this offseason.
