After Y.A. Black was drafted in the fifth round of the

2025 NFL draft, defensive line coach Carl Dunbar spoke about how they already have a pretty

good nose tackle on the roster that they are happy with while speaking about Keanu Benton.

He said with Black's length, 35-inch arms, he can play anywhere, but four or five tech is what they really

envisioned. They even listed him as a defensive end on the official roster on their website.

Nothing is written in stone until they get into mini-camp and practices, but I found it curious

that Nose Tackle Montravius Adams was released by the team earlier today. That might point to Black playing in the middle more than Dunbar let on.

Right now, who else is the backup knows?

Black is listed at 336 pounds, so he is a natural choice to anchor the middle.
