As I've discussed before, the NFL draft looks far and wide for talented prospects,

and that's exactly what Steelers' director of pro scouting Sheldon White's mission has been

the last few days.

He spent it in the Dakotas, looking at the top FCS schools in South Dakota, South Dakota State,

and North Dakota State. It might feel like a lot of

hotel receipts for quote-unquote lower and lesser talent, but don't discount them. South Dakota

State is where the Steelers plucked Mason McCormick just one year ago. The Jack Rabbits probably don't

have as highly graded prospects as past seasons,

but running back Amar Johnson will be in a camp this summer.

He rushed for over 1,200 yards a year ago while catching 30 passes and even returning a couple of kicks.

Johnson ran 4-4 at his pro-day workout.
