Combine is fun and entertaining. That's not the primary purpose, of course. It was

originally devised as a way for teams to have centralized medical evaluations on players prior to the

NFL draft. Over the years, interviews have also become a key part of the process. And then there

is the televised portion, affectionately known as the underwear Olympics. With more players sitting

out of various drills and testing, the results are more about the individual rather than comparing

one player to another. With that said, it's hard not to get caught up in the results from the 40-yard

dash. This year, Kentucky cornerback Maxwell-Hirston holds the fastest time at 4.28 seconds. What may interest Steelers fans

more is the player right behind him at 4.29 seconds, wide receiver Matthew Golden, who has shown up as

the 21st pick in plenty of mock drafts. Further down the list, but also impressive, was Oregon

defensive tackle Derek Harmon, who is 313 pounds and over 6 foot 4 and ran it in 4.95 seconds.
