I'm Josh Carney. Last offseason with Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan swung a trade for veteran cornerback Dante Jackson,

it was rather surprising and seemingly came out of left field. That move worked out for a bit as Jackson

created a number of turnovers for the Steelers and finished with a career high five interceptions on the

season. But late in the year, back and shoulder injuries sapped him, and he was a liability in coverage.

Now he's a free agent, which has the Steelers in the market for another veteran quarterback.

Interestingly enough, Jayaer Alexander of the Green Bay Packers finds himself on the trade market,

as news came out Wednesday that Alexander is available.

So, could the Steelers have interest there?

It's important to remember that Con and Packers' GM, Brian Gutakunst, have some trading

history together.

Seriously, they just struck a deal for Preston Smith at the trade deadline in the 2024 season.
