You never want to read too much into what a GM or head coach will say during media sessions,

especially at the NFL scouting combine.

But based on a comment that Steelers' GM Omar Khan made Tuesday to reporters,

it's hard to not dream big and buy into what Conn is saying.

Regarding the defensive line for the Steelers, Con stated the obvious that the group wasn't good

enough last season. Cameron Hayward aside. With that, Con added that the Steelers have the

resources to swing big, whether that's in free agency, via trade, or in a loaded draft class, whatever it may be.

That's music to my ears, as defensive line is a massive need for the black and gold.

Especially with Hayward another year older, Keanu Benton coming off of a rough second season,

and Larry Ogen Jobie, a likely cut candidate.

Free agency has some intriguing names like Milton Williams, Tershawnd,

Warden, and T.J. Slayton to pursue, while the trade market could see Washington's

Jonathan Allen be the big name available.

In the draft, names like Walter Nolan, Derek Harmon, Tileak Williams, and Darius Alexander

are names to know too for the Steelers.

It sure would be nice to see Khan and the Steelers make a splash along the defensive line and either free-in-see or trade

and then possibly double-dip on the position group in the draft too.

That would shore up a group that is very important to the success of the franchise moving forward.

Games are won and lost in the trenches.

The Steelers have invested heavily in the offensive line.
