Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Jerryack, has stated a couple times now that

the Steelers are after a quicker running back that can get to the edge to complement J. Lamarren.

Many are assuming that means going for a smaller, quicker back that is best suited for third

downs and maybe not in every down type of back. I think that would be a mistake, and the Steelers

should stick to their typical criteria for running backs.

Just because Najee Harris didn't work out, relative to his first round draft status at least,

that doesn't mean big back should be written off.

They have thrived on big backs for a long time, and there are several big backs that are successful in the NFL right now.

They just need the right big back.

That has some explosion and speed to their game.

Harris was never that guy, but this is one of the best and most diverse running back

draft classes in recent memory.

There are several different types of running backs to choose from.

While Warren can be easily retained with a restricted free agent tender, it would be best

to set up the next long-term option and get a great all-around back, and it's okay to place a premium on speed within that calculation.
