I thought Mike Tomlin's year-end press conference

would feature a lot more Russell Wilson than it actually did. Considering Wilson has expressed a clear

desire, almost an expectation to return, and has been the Steelers starter since week seven, I figured

there'd be a lot more discussion

about his play and future. Instead, his name hardly came up during Tomlin's 33-minute

presser, basically in only three questions. One, a pretty general thought about if he or

Justin Fields could take the offense to the next level. One about Russ's relationship with

offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and one, if his age,

currently 36, will be a factor in his return.

The rest was about Justin Fields, and that's where the bulk of Tomlin's praise came from.

Granted, some of that was him simply answering the question in front of him.
