Just when it looked like the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to be quite healthy, entering the

gauntlet of three games in 11 days.

The George Pickens hamstring injury popped up, causing him to miss Sunday against the Cleveland

Browns.

It threw a wrench into everything.

And now, based on comments from head coach

Mike Tomlin Tuesday, it might be even longer for Pickens. His hamstring is reportedly more significant

than the Steelers originally believed. Yikes. On Monday, the Post Gazette's Jerry Dulac reported

that Pickens has a grade-2 hamstring strain,

but said he might miss just a week or two.

A grade-two hamstring strain, though, is a tear, which is not good whatsoever for that soft tissue,

and typically causes players to miss more than just a week or two.

Pickens is doubtful to play Sunday against the Eagles, according to Tomlin.

And, based on the timeline of when the injury occurred, it might not be healed in time for him to play next Saturday in

week 16 against the Ravens or on Christmas Day against the Kansas City Chiefs. All that matters

right now, though, is getting him healthy for the playoffs. But ahead of the three

games stretch against some great teams, not having your number one receiver and one of the

better weapons in football is a devastating blow. Fortunately, Pittsburgh has time this week to

get prepared to be without Pickens from a game plan perspective. But they might not have the
