Coming into the 2024 season, second year offensive tackle Brodrick Jones was expected to take a major step forward and cement himself as the left tackle the future for the black and gold.

He's done anything but that in the first eight games of the season.

Granted, playing it right tackle instead of left.

Jones couldn't push Dan Moore Jr. and training camp, struggled in the preseason while dealing with

an injury, and then was benched for rookie Troy

Faltano against Denver. Jones only got back into the lineup at right tackle

due to Faltano's season-ending injury and even then with the second chance

Jones has been a mess.

Offensive line coach Pat Meyer stated Wednesday that Jones struggles with focus at times.

And Offensive line guru Duke Maniweather stated on Twitter during the Monday night game against the Giants that Jones is playing like he hates football and doesn't care among other things. Yikes.

Maniweather isn't far off though.

Jones has been dreadful, and there are plenty of reps where he looks like he's going through the motions on tape.
