Welcome to the terrible take a mini podcast telling Steelers Nation what's on our mind.

I'm Josh Carney. One of the biggest concerns and questions about the Steelers offense

in light of the George Pickens situation is that the Steelers don't have a

veteran leader on that side of the football like the defense does with guys like

Cameron Hayward, TJ Watt, and make a Fitzpatrick. That's largely true, but there is one good thing coming out of all of this regarding

Pickens and the Steelers offense. One leader is emerging. That would be tight end Pat Friarmouth. Over the last few seasons

Friarmouth has taken on more of a vocal role for the Steelers, especially on a

young offense. So far this season he's become a major voice for the black and gold on that side of the football.

That was evident during off-season workouts and in training camp, where Friar Muth was always in good spirits,

offering words of encouragement and bringing positive

vibes to the team overall.

With his new contract in place, that's only helped him take on more of a leadership role

for the Steelers too.

And with George Pick is in the spotlight once again for behavior and attitude issues, there

was Friarmouth earlier in the week, standing up front and center and speaking for his teammate to the media, defending him,

but also having a strong message within those words to the media about it being a team game

and needing to be all on the same page.

It's what a leader should say. It's what a leader should do.
