Throughout Mike Tomlin's tenure, he has not had many quarterbacks, Big Ben, for the most of it, though they have rolled through a list of names since his retirement.

But what Tomlin has also had is only a couple of kickers, really just three of them.

Sean Sweezum and Chris Boswell.

Bause has been the best and really should be thought of as the greatest

kicker in Stilo's history even if he doesn't quite yet have the tenure of a

Gary Anderson. For an offense that's needed in elite kicker they sure have one.

Sunday's win over Atlanta was a perfect example.

His leg responsible for all 18 points, including three field goals of 50 plus yards, which should never be taken for granted even in this golden age of kickers.

Two of them came from 56 and 57 yards, the limits of what you can expect a kicker to reasonably nail.

But it's far from the first, nor is it likely the last time Boswell will be needed to come

up large.

That's made life easy on Tomlin, not fretting about finding a

kicker or if who he has will perform in crunch time. It changes the way he and

this team approaches each game before and during, too. I know Tomlin does not seek

comfort but he sure found it in Chris Boswell. Be sure to follow us at
