Brandon Ayyuk is remaining a San Francisco 49er, finally crossing the finish line with a four-year

120 million dollar front-loaded contract to stay put in Santa Clara.

Whether you're happy or disappointed or some mixture of the two, you gotta be be relieved I know I am I you can Pittsburgh in San Francisco in

holding patterns the 49ers unsure of who they'd have on offense this year Pittsburgh

unsure of their receiver movements and

options beyond Ayuk, not to mention potentially the roadblock in front of Pat Fryer

Muth and Kim Hayward extensions.

So what happens from here? Pittsburgh, they can try Plan B for those external options, though I hardly even know who those are.

A trade seems unlikely post-cut downs and even if on the table I don't

know who fits, who moves the needle. Aiyuk was the last domino that would change the outlook on Pittsburgh season.

The rest don't do much to sharpen the Steelers' fuzzy image at Wiedout.

Maybe a free agent, someone who got cut, or I don't know, maybe Michael Thomas. I assume he'll sign somewhere at some point and Pittsburgh makes as much sense as anyone.

But Pittsburgh has to follow Freud. Focus on the ego, that is the reality, the self,

the what's actually there. And what's there is George Pickens and some big time question marks.

So lean on Pickens and create an offense that makes

them hard to find with shifts and stacks and alignment changes. Rotate in the group

behind and Taylor game plans to Van Jefferson one week, Calvin Austin the next,

Roman Wilson once he gets up to speed.

Focus on Pat Friar Muth, the quasi wide receiver and true number two target.

Cultivate a strong running game, build play action off it.
