Hopefully everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July with all 10 fingers and toes still intact. Off the holiday it's the

Steelers offense that needs to carry over the fireworks. As I wrote yesterday

for the site, Pittsburgh's offense has been closer to

sparkler than anything else. Over the past three years, they've ranked 25th or

26th in explosive plays, gains of 20 or more yards. They have not finished above 20th since

2018 when they ranked inside the top 10. Perhaps they don't need to get back quite that high

this year though I certainly would not be mad about it,

but this offense for as much focus as there is on building a steady and stable run game

needs to hit the home run more often, or at least a couple of doubles.

Being able to chew up yards in a hurry, instantly putting yourself in scoring range or touchdowns themselves is critical.
