I'm Josh Carney. By all accounts, the Pittsburgh Steelers made some significant upgrades

on the offensive side of the football this off season.

Hiring Arthur Smith is offensive coordinator. Signing quarterback Russell Wilson and trading for quarterback Justin Fields.

Drafting Troy Faltano and Zach Frazier along the offensive line,

all of that. It's an upgrade. Yet, despite those

clear obvious upgrades, E-SPN's Mike Clay has some rather low and disappointing projections for the likes of running backs

Nagee Harris and Jaylin Warren in the run game.

Harris and Warren are both projected to play just 14 games each and both are projected to have under 900 yards on the ground,

with Harris leading the way at 890 yards and Warren at 597.

Based on per game averages it's about the same as it was last season.

But Clay's projections seemingly don't take into account the improvements this dealer's made at key positions offensively.

That is rather frustrating. Having a guy like

Arthur Smith calling the shots offensively is going to be huge for the Steelers.

Now that he's back to being a coordinator only he should have success in Pittsburgh

much like he did as the offensive coordinator in Tennessee from 2018 to 2020.

That means the Steelers should be able to pound the rock, physically dominate teams,

and wear them down late in games.

Behind a rebuilt offensive line and a pair of quarterbacks the defenses will have to respect

this season, Harrison Warren should have rather

rather good seasons.

That means, assuming health, Harris has over a thousand rushing yards again and Warren he gets pretty darn close too.
