With the draft in the Review Mirror and the Best Free Agents already signed,

the Steelers wide receiver room still remains the biggest roster challenge.

George Pickens is the obvious wide receiver one, but it isn't clear who will line up opposite him.

The early excitement regarding the possibility of the team trading for 49ers Brandon Iuke now seems to be nothing more than a dream.

It remains to be seen if the Steelers can still pull off a trade for any player after June 1st

when the financial hit would be less of an impact on the team that currently has that player under contract.

Recently, Boston sports journalist Greg Boudard commented that Patriots wide receiver Jujus Smith-Suster is no longer a fit for the Patriots

and suggested that he wouldn't be on the roster when the season starts.

This poses the obvious question.

If Jujoo isn't staying in New England, could a reunion in Pittsburgh be next?

Juju signed a three-year deal with the Patriots last year with up to $25 million.

This includes $7 million guaranteed in 2024.

It's safe to say the Patriots won't cut him prior to June 1st and take on over 12 million dollars of dead money.

Plus, they have no reason to do so.

If Juju were opposed June 1 cut, Plus, they have no reason to do so.

If Juu were a post-June 1 cut, that would still mean about 9.6 million in dead money this year.

In either scenario, add another 2.6 million in dead money for 2025.

It's hard to imagine them making that move.

Then again, the team has the cap space to do it and they just released wide receiver

Duvante Parker back in March despite a cap hit of more than $6 million.
