After rookie mini camps wrapped up this past weekend the next event is the rookie premiere taking place this weekend in Los Angeles, but it's for select rookies.

Of Pittsburgh's class, only wide receiver, Roman Wilson received an invite,

an event where each of the 40 names will get their football cards

and begin making a marketing name for themselves.

Nearly every rookie attending is an offensive skill guy, a quarterback, receiver, or tight end. Only a handful of defenders are going in their

past rushes. You know who is not attending? A single offense alignment including fifth

overall pick, Joe Alt.

Albert Breuer made a great point last week.

Six-round pick and Patriots quarterback Joe Milton is attending.

The fifth overall pick of the draft who is literally in LA as a charger is not.

In what world does that make sense?

O-Lignment can be marketable if you let them, and the game should highlight all their top

players, not just the ones who fill up

fantasy football stats sheets and this is the NFL PA the players union who should

be supporting everyone and they fallen into the same trap of the glitz and the

glam. Some of this is probably status quo. It's who it's always been so why change

it? In-school players, are more flashy and exciting.

Even a late round selection, Milton Wowed at the combine with his bazooka for an arm.

But this can be a both-and.

Invite the skill guys, the receivers, the quarterbacks, and invite the skill guys to receivers the quarterbacks and invite the linemen have a group

reflective of the actual NFL and make it an awesome weekend that shows football
