I'm not somebody who really gets into the official

2024 NFL schedule release. It's notable especially for the players and partially for us.

When their byweek takes place if they're playing on a holiday, how many night games I'll

get no sleep because it does have value.

Any NFL must keep themselves into headlines during an otherwise quiet time of the year.

Still even for me, it's fun to think about who the team will open the season against. What is the most exciting

matchup? Going on the road to Denver, Russell Wilson's former team is an obvious choice. No more

storylines needed than that. And it's probably the favorite to occur. Can anything else compete, though?

Tossing aside the divisional games, hosting the LA Chargers would be a treat. Not only would the Steelers get to play a second straight opener at home, they greet Jim

Harbaw in his return to the NFL.

And the Chargers will probably be everyone's sleeper pick to make a run this year, making this an exciting

matchup.

If you're into reunions, what about Pittsburgh going on the road versus Atlanta?

Arthur Smith against the team he just got fired from, where he Morris and Mike

Tomlin, the latter vouching for the former to land a head coaching gig again.

Or a home game versus Aaron Rogers and the New York Jets, in what will hopefully be a season that consists of more than four plays for him

Though I bet the Jets will open at home again I'll admit when a schedule drops the opener is certainly one I will be circling.
