With the hiring of Arthur Smith as the Pittsburgh Steelers offense coordinator now official.

It'll be interesting to see if the Steelers look to add or turn over any other parts of their

offensive coaching staff.

With Cliff Kingsbury shockingly pulling out a consideration from the Las Vegas Raiders

offensive coordinator job, one that he was expected to land. That puts Steelers

quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan back in play to land the job. Sullivan was

expected to stay in Pittsburgh as the two teams he interviewed with

her offense coordinator, the New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders.

Looked elsewhere with the Saints hiring or expected to hire Clinton Kubiak and

the Raiders is expected to hire Clinton Kubiak and the raider is expected to hire Kingsbury.

But now the Kingsbury is pulled out, the solvent's back in play.

Losing what hurt Pittsburgh. I love the hire of Smith as an offense coordinator but continuity is key and

meaning to retain some offensive court coaches will be important for the

Steelers offense to continue to move forward and succeed.

Having Smith's a great move. He speaks to the team's run first identity, he has prior success as a play

caller, and he helped turn Ryan Tannell into a good quarterback.

But Sullivan and Kenny Pickett, who I expect to be the sailor starter in 2024, have a really close relationship.

Entertaining Sullivan would be important to help Pickett continue to develop and just have somebody

who's familiar with it can go to and turn to.
