I know today's topic will not be a popular one with Steelers fans Bill Bill Bellacek. Please don't click off, let me just think out loud. This is not necessarily to praise him. It's merely to point out what's obvious. Bill Bellacek is not going to be a head coach in 2024.

Barring something completely unforeseen, Seattle nor Washington, the only two teams with

head coaching gigs still available do not seem to have any

interest in hiring him. So where does Bill go? I'm guessing he thought reasonably

so there would be a line of teams he could pick from. In the end, it was only

Atlanta and they hired Rahim Morris instead. Could he really go back to his roots and become

a defensive coordinator? Will he try to get into broadcasting? Will he take a year off and do something completely different?

There's still a belief he wants to be a head coach in order to surpass Don Shula's record, which would likely take him two more years,

but it's an open question of if he'll get another chance, and the dude is not getting any younger.

This could be an NFL first, a Hall of Fame coach who just fades away, no

swan song, no last lap, no send-off, just a miserable season in Foxborough before moving on with life's work.

It's a pretty wild story that can't be ignored.
