The Pittsburgh Steelers may be regaining some options in their safety room with

Demante KZ returning from suspension and Minka Fitzpatrick back from injury, but they need to be careful with

messing with the formula too much. It's obviously a good problem to have, but Eric Rowe has earned

more playing time and it would be ashamed to see him in a reserve role after the last three weeks of stellar play.

Coming off the practice squad not having played a single snap in the 2023 regular season, Rowe provided big playability and some attitude

to the back end of the defense.

He was coming downhill to stuff runs in Screenswell and earned 29 combined tackles,

22 solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, one

force fumble, and two passes defensed in three starts.

Over that time, the defense allowed 17 points per game. In the three-game losing streak prior, they

were allowing 25 points per game. That isn't all because of Roe of course, but

it would be wise to preserve as much of what got them into the playoffs over that final three week push as possible.

Similar to riding the hot hand of quarterback Mason Rudolph on offense due to his impact over the final three,

the Steelers must continue to feature a row in a prominent

rollout safety and figure out ways to keep him on the field. Be sure to follow us at
