Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Ross McCorkle.

The Pittsburgh Steelers qualified for the playoffs and have a prime opportunity in front of them to rewrite the story of their up and down 2023 season.

They will travel to Buffalo for a 1 p.m. Eastern time game against the bills on Sunday.

There are two main reasons why the Steelers have a viable shot in the playoffs.

They are having success running the football

and they are limiting opposing teams to few points.

Since week 13, the Steelers have had 126 rushing yards per game.

That is the ninth best mark in the league over that time.

And if you toss teams that didn't qualify for the playoffs, that is the seventh best

rushing yards per game of the playoff teams and third best of the AFC playoff teams.

Mike Tomlin talks about putting the game on Nasje Harris back after their week 18 win over

the Baltimore Ravens in miserable weather.

Well first stop of the playoffs is in Buffalo, New York in January.

Weather could very well become a factor again with a chance of snow and heavy wind on the 10-day forecast.

On defense over that same span of the final six weeks, the Steelers allowed 19.8 points per game.

That is the 10th best mark over that span in the NFL.

If you toss the non-playoff teams, that is the fifth best mark of playoff teams and fourth best on the

AFC side. Oh yeah and they will be regaining Minka Fitzpatrick and Demonta KZ

to alleviate some of the thinness at the safety position, run hard and limit the opposing team scoring and they have a

great chance to make some noise in the playoffs.
