On Wednesday the NFL released their list of Pro Bowlers.

TJ Watt was expected.

It was great to see Miles Kilbrut on that list,

and Mink of its Patrick's inclusion was curious

in more reputation-based than anything else.

Don't blame the fans either. They did not include him in their

top 10 list of votes. But one thing that irks me about the Pro Bowl setup is the one slot

for each specialist, each kicker, punter, and long snapper. The league can open that up. They can make it to per conference.

That allows more players to make it, which is just fun and rewarding, and help somebody like Pittsburgh's Chris Boswell, stuck

behind the name recognition of Justin Tucker, even though Boswell has had the better 2023 season.

What does having two spots hurt?

There's not even a game anymore.

Having one selection makes it such a tough path for those specialists to get in and frankly,

it's one reason why it's difficult for some of these names to get Hall of Fame recognition.

That should have a high bar, but in eras where there is a goat kicker in

Adam and a Terry, a Tucker, it shuts out the rest of the entire group.

Expand the field, make it a Noah's arc of a ballot with two punters, kickers, and

snappers per conference.

I promise no one will be against the move.
