It's been a tough stretch for the Pittsburgh Steelers in those who watch them

losses to the 2 and 10 Arizona Cardinals and

New England Patriots one is bad enough to it'll crush your soul the criticism

in heat this team is feeling is all deserved. But we get all that, we all understand

and feel that. So I'll swap out my Grinch feelings for my holiday hat and bring a gift of optimism, no re-gifting allowed.

Despite these stinging defeats, if the Steelers beat the colts this Saturday, the good times

are a rolling again.

They're 8 and 6, just took down a direct wild card competitor and

their wild card and playoff odds will again be high. When two of your final three

from there and I cannot see the Steelers sitting at home come mid-January, no matter the configuration

of their final two of three games and wins.

And just as it is, Peak Pittsburgh to Lo lose to Arizona and New England, it would be the same to rally and beat the colts and set themselves up for a stretch run.

That's what the Steelers do.

Lose when you expect them to win, win when you count them out.

Incredibly, despite these losses and a season that certainly has not gone great,

Pittsburgh is still in control of this thing. Maybe it speaks to the level of

parity in the NFL. Everyone seems to have problems.

quarterback injuries have also had a helping hand, no doubt. Whatever the reason, this is where the Steelers stand,

and they could be singing a different tune come Monday.
