Alex and I address those questions and more regarding the connection between McCarthy and Rodgers and potentially the latter playing one more season in Pittsburgh. With McCarthy now the team’s new head coach, Alex and I try to connect several logical dots when it comes to candidates to be on the Steelers coaching staff. We go over a few offensive and defensive coaching staff additions we could see and discuss a few current members of the coaching staff that might be retained with McCarthy now the head coach. Alex and I discuss the Steelers failing to bring in Chris Shula and/or Nate Scheelhaase for in-person interviews at this point.
