Summary

April 28, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 124 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Sunday episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the selections Pittsburgh Steelers made on Saturday in the fourth and sixth rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. We start with the Steelers' selection of G Mason McCormick and then go on to talk about the sixth-round selections of DE Logan Lee and CB Ryan Watts. We go over the good and bad and value of each player and what the tape that we have seen so far says about each. The Steelers also reportedly agreed to terms with five undrafted free agents so far and have invited at least two players to rookie minicamp, so we discuss what all we know about that group. We look at the Steelers 2024 draft class as a whole later in the show and also discuss some holes the team is likely to fill at a few positions moving forward into the offseason. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 87-minute episode and we end it all by answering several emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. concluding on Saturday rounds four through seven in the undrafted frenzy that always

takes place afterwards Pittsburgh Steelers drafting three more players to round out their draft and just a quick thought overall Dave I had this

1:03.0

opinion I think for his first two NFL drafts last year and this year you can credibly and easily argue

1:09.0

that no more con in the Pittsburgh Eagles had among if not the best drafts in football so I think a really really good

1:15.8

weekend for this team. I mean yeah I mean when you look at what we I guess what us outsiders would deem is value and hitting

1:26.3

hitting positions that the team need needed

1:30.3

you know going into this draft and you look at obviously some of the the key

1:36.7

measurements that we look at and the RAS scores and athleticism and and do they fit and character and all the little things that we'd like to look at.

1:49.2

I mean I like to say that it's hard to argue with a lot of selections I'll tell you that I mean you can you can argue maybe should have gone a different player I guess to to some degree or or different position or whatnot but I mean as far as positions and stuff that they hit

2:09.2

I mean yeah it's a good class but I mean obviously you can't judge these things until you get about three four years you

2:14.8

know down the road when it when it when it comes to it but I mean we're not going to put him in a

2:21.3

hall of fame yet, but

2:22.8

no, but just for evaluating the draft for what it is, you know, it doesn't mean anything for three years

2:27.5

from now, but it's great picks.
