Today's episode takes us behind the scenes of director George Clooney's new coming-of-age drama, The Tender Bar.

Adapted from a memoir of the same name, the film tells the story of J.R., a fatherless boy who hangs out in a bar that caters to an assortment of quirky characters with his fatherless uncle.

As his mother struggles to provide her son with opportunities and to move out of her

begrudgingly supportive father's home, J.R. begins to pursue his romantic and professional dreams.

In addition to the Tender Bar, Mr. Clooney's directorial credits include the feature films, The Midnight

Sky, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, The Ides of March, The Monuments

Men, and Suburicon, and episodes of the miniseries Catch-22, and the series Unscripted.

He was nominated for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film

for his 2005 feature, Good Night and Good Luck.

Following a recent screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Mr. Clooney spoke

with fellow director Jason Reitman about filming the tender bar. Listen on for their spoiler-filled
